J. T. Fisher writes for those who have a hard time expressing what’s on their minds, especially when those topics are difficult ones to face. All of her novels grew out of her own personal life experiences, including but not limited to sexual abuse, suicidal ideation, and other mental health issues.
While her goal was to initially sell books, her hope was to help others who faced similar challenges by showing that her main characters could overcome the same difficulties and come out the other side stronger for it.
Through her writings, Judy reflects on questions, issues, and fears that many women of her generation faced growing up in the ‘60s and ‘70s.
The author currently has two grown children. She resides in Central Florida with her husband and a four-legged child named Mitzi. Judy enjoys reading, writing, live theater, and playing with her granddaughter, Amelia.
